But when ‘later’ kept moving ahead to even later and things didn’t seem to be returning to normal, there was no other way but to opt for advanced telecommunications and embrace streaming media technology. Alas, as they say, necessity is the mother of inventions.
Now people are suddenly getting invitations to join video conferences. No need to go to a place, no need to drive, no fuel consumption, no expense at all.

CEO Madhav Sheth officially confirmed that the Realme X3 SuperZoom is coming – and that it will have a 60x zoom camera. He shared a photo of the Milky Way taken with the phone’s Starry Mode and challenges you to try and get a better shot with your current phone.
Realme X3 SuperZoom could have zooming capabilities to hit 60x. This is obviously a hybrid zoom, with only the initial bit being optical. However, this could imply that it will opt for a periscopic camera with folded optics to be able to zoom that far. A special "Starry mode" is also mentioned to shoot the Milky Way Galaxy, a feat that even full-fledged cameras struggle with.

Google has confirmed that it will introduce the ability to make group calls via Google Duo on the Web, starting as a preview on Chrome, in the coming weeks. To reduce its reliance on contact numbers, Web version will allow users to start a call with anyone who has a Google account. The video calling app has also got a new Family mode, that lets you doodle during video calls and try out fun effects and masks.
- Facebook update crashes TikTok and other rivals
Facebook has apologized after its latest software update crashed rival apps on iPhones and iPads.
Popular apps such as dating service Tinder, music-streaming app Spotify and video platform TikTok were among those rendered unusable.
The problem affected apps that had integrated the "login with Facebook" feature, which eliminates the need for a separate username and password.
Facebook said it had "identified the issue quickly and resolved it".
- Facebook’s redesigned desktop site with dark mode is now available everywhere
Facebook’s redesigned desktop site is now available globally. Prior to this change, the new version of Facebook was available only if you opted into it starting in March and only in some markets, although the company said at the time that a majority of people would get access that month.
In a blog post published today, Facebook says the new site will “now be the web experience for Facebook globally,” adding that “it’s faster, easier to use and gives your eyes a break with dark mode.”
Dark mode is indeed the standout of the new version, but the update also delivers another pretty dramatic overhaul. The home layout features a new skinnier News Feed, ample empty space on the left and right rails, and larger icons and a menu bar that lets you easily jump to various parts of the app.
For those who want to turn on the new design and enable dark mode immediately, here’s how:
Click on the down arrow at the end of the upper menu bar to pull up old Facebook’s settings menu.
Click “Switch to new Facebook.”
Click the same down arrow and toggle dark mode from off to on.

As the popularity of video conferencing is increasing, so is the competition. The big rise in the user base of zoom has made tech giants like Google, Microsoft, and Facebook to work on enhancing their apps.
Facebook recently launched Messenger room, which is a private video conferencing platform that supports up to 50 participants. This, according to the company, will be integrated with other apps owned by Facebook, which include WhatsApp and Instagram.
