it’s now official: Apple has joined TikTok. This does not seem to be a fake profile, as it’s been verified on the platform. HoweverApple has not actually shared any content on TikTok yet. And nobody knows when that might change. It has fewer than 2,000 followers now but that’s going to change very soon.

- Huawei App Gallery launches "Here Maps"
Back in January, it was reported that Huawei was partnering with TomTom for mapping and navigation services. In what can be termed a surprise, HERE WeGo (HERE Maps) is now available on its AppGallery store. Here WeGo is said to be the second-largest map service after Google Maps. Huawei now joins Amazon as the other big-name manufacturer that uses the mapping service for its products. Here WeGo allows users to download maps offline and provides a free voice-navigation too. Other features include the cost of public transport tickets and fares.

- Whatsapp adding ads soon
WhatsApp could start serving ads in the future, according to a media report. The new development comes soon after a report claimed that WhatsApp's parent company Facebook decided not to put ads on the instant messaging app, which has over 150 crore users worldwide. The Menlo Park, California-based company in 2018 announced that instead of showing ads on the platform directly, the company would leverage WhatsApp Status updates to serve paid content. Facebook would use phone numbers as the determiners to “match” Facebook and WhatsApp accounts and serve targeted ads to users. It would come into force once the company will complete the unification of its messaging platforms, namely Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp, and Instagram.

WhatsApp Messenger is confirmed to be doubling the number of participants allowed in the group calls. With this, WhatsApp group calls will now support up to 8 people, up from four right now. The change was first spotted in the recent beta version of WhatsApp Messenger on both Android and iPhone, and now Facebook, the parent company of WhatsApp, has officially announced the change and revealed the timeline of when the increased group call participants limit can be expected.
